The CIEH Intermediate Certificate in Supervising Health and Safety curse is normally delivered over 3 days (18 hours). It covers a defined syllabus designed for those working in any workplace at a supervisory level.

The course is ideal for personnel with responsibility for the following jobs and functions:-

• Owners and managers of small to medium sized enterprises;

• Supervisors and team leaders;

Candidates are assessed at the end of the course by an objective 2 hour test of 60 multi-choice questions. Those passing the test receive a nationally recognised certificate a leading provider of  health and safety qualifications.

Successful completion of the course and examination will enable candidates to:-

• play an active part in monitoring health and safety practices;

• take an active part in some training activities, especially on the job training;

• supervise workers effectively in general aspects of health and safety;

• identify the need for risk assessment and participate in the process;

• encourage safe practices;

• assist management in the formulation of health and safety policies and instructions.
