risk assessment principles & practice

The CIEH Certificate in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice course is normally delivered over 1 day (7 hours). It covers a defined syllabus designed for those with responsibility for conducting risk assessments at work. 

The course is ideal for personnel with responsibility for the following jobs and functions:-

  • Owners and managers of small to medium sized enterprises;

  • Supervisors and team leaders;

  • Technicians and engineers and others contributing to the risk assessment process.

Candidates are assessed at the end of the course by a risk assessment study on a suitable workplace activity and completion of a candidate self evaluation form.  Those passing the assessment receive a nationally recognised certificate a leading provider of  health and safety qualifications.

Successful completion of the course, assignment and self evaluation will enable candidates to:-

  • contribute to the risk assessment programmes at their workplace;

  • conduct risk assessments;

  • participate in the identification of specific training needs for the activities being assessed;

  • assist employers in meeting legal requirements and promote improved standards of health and safety within their organisation.

All of our tutors are fully qualified to at least Advanced Level and have a strong teaching background.
