HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points)
is an internationally recognised food safety management system,
providing an effective tool for identifying food safety hazards and
ensuring that effective controls are in place.
The RIPH Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP
Principles is intended for all those involved in implementing modern
food safety management systems and is specifically designed for HACCP
team members as well as supervisors and managers in all aspects of the
food industry.
The course is normally delivered over 2.5 days (18 hours) and

The course is ideal for personnel with responsibility
for the following jobs and functions:-

Owners and
managers of food businesses;

HACCP team
members;

Supervisors
of HACCP systems;

Trainers
wishing to develop their knowledge of food safety management systems.
It is highly recommended that prospective candidates
have previously successfully completed at least a foundation (level
1) food
hygiene course.
Candidates are assessed by means of a 2 hour
examination consisting of two sections. Section A has 20 multiple-choice
questions covering all aspects of the syllabus and knowledge of HACCP
principles. Section B contains 6 short answer/chart completion questions
based on a simple case study and supporting material.
Those passing the
assessment receive an internationally recognised certificate from a
World leader in HACCP qualifications.
