The CIEH Principles of COSHH course is normally delivered over half a day day (3 hours) and covers a defined syllabus aimed at those who handle hazardous substances at work.  Successful completion will prepare candidates to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute towards the safer use of hazardous substances.

Topics covered in the training include:-

• Definition and types of substances hazardous to health in the workplace;

• Health effects of hazardous substances and their causes;

• COSHH assessments and control options;

• Responsibilities imposed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.

Candidates are assessed at the end of the course by an objective test of 20 multi-choice questions - those passing the test receive a nationally recognised certificate from a leading provider of  health and safety qualifications. All of our tutors are fully qualified to at least Advanced Level and have a strong teaching background.
