HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points)
is an internationally recognised food safety management system,
providing an effective tool for identifying food safety hazards and
ensuring that effective controls are in place.
The aim of the RIPH Advanced Certificatein Applied HACCP
Principles is to ensure that candidates have a knowledge and
understanding of HACCP principles and how they might be applied in
practical situations, particularly in relation to the design,
implementation and verification of food safety management systems.

Candidates should already hold the RIPH Intermediate
Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles (or equivalent) and have a good
standard of education.
Assessment is by means of 2 written
examinations and a practical post-course assignment. Paper 1 consists of
six short
questions, followed by 3 more in-depth questions. Paper 2 centres around
a case study. Candidates choose their
own 2000 word assignment topic which must relate to the use of HACCP and
its practical application.
Those passing the assessment receive an
internationally recognised certificate from a World leader in HACCP
qualifications.
